As part of the process of increasing the digitalization of our society, the Swedish Government put focus on open data and citizen-driven innovation. Public sector, private sector and academia need to interact and collaborate. Through open and citizen-driven innovation, more people than ever can contribute to our welfare and together we can build the society we dream of tomorrow – Sweden 4.0
Hack for Sweden is a government mission raised to increase the awareness and use of open data. Our focus and goal is to stimulate and broaden the use of open data for the benefit of society. We organize Sweden’s largest yearly hackathon organized in cooperation with government agencies. In 2019, Hack for Sweden will take place at Stockholmsmässan, on April 4th-6th.

Our framework are the 17 global goals of the UN and the Agenda 2030. This means that all we do strive at contributing to solving these challenges and bringing value to the citizens of our society.
Our next meetup for our partners is on November 27th at Meeting Room, Alströmergatan 20, Stockholm.
Together we exchange ideas on how to use and re-use open data for the benefit of society, share knowledge on how to package and deliver open data in the best formats and help and support each other in all matters with our common goal in clear view: creating a smarter society, a better Sweden for everyone to live in – a Sweden 4.0.
We are now kick-starting the Community for our partners – consisting of 35+ Government agencies, municipalities and companies, with a Meetup on Nov 27th. Curious about Hack for Sweden and want to join us? E-mail us at [email protected] !
